‘Ballgowns’, British Glamour since 1950, at the V&A.

This show had a broad range of dresses some recognisable as having been a key time in the life of a celebrity. All very original and inspiring, showing the skills and variety of British Couture. A duck egg blue dress by John Galliano caught my attention. The shoulder had a swath of fabric over it that fell really effectively embroidered with gilt thread.
